Peach City Animal Hospital is a privately owned veterinary clinic located in Penticton, BC, serving dogs and cats across the Okanagan Valley. Founded and led by Dr. P.S. Brar and Dr. H.S. Maan, our clinic was built on the belief that pets deserve personalized, compassionate care from a team that genuinely knows them. We are not a corporate chain. Every decision we make is guided by what is best for the animals and families we serve, not by a head office far away.
Peach City Animal Hospital opened its doors at #102, 402 Industrial Ave E in Penticton to fill a real need for high-quality, accessible veterinary care in the Okanagan. We operate seven days a week with extended evening hours so that pet owners in Penticton, Summerland, Naramata, Oliver, and the surrounding region can access care when it actually fits their lives. Our clinic is equipped for the full range of veterinary services, from routine wellness exams and vaccinations to surgery, diagnostics, dental care, and compassionate end-of-life support. Everything your pet needs is available under one roof, with a team that is consistent and familiar.
Dr. P.S. Brar brings over 17 years of veterinary experience to every patient at Peach City Animal Hospital. With a career that spans international training and extensive clinical practice, Dr. Brar combines advanced surgical skills with a client-first philosophy that puts clear communication at the center of every appointment. His approach is thorough, honest, and deeply practical. Dr. Brar co-founded Peach City Animal Hospital to create a clinic where pets are cared for as individuals and where owners feel informed, respected, and confident in the care their companion receives. He works closely with each client to understand their pet’s history, lifestyle, and goals before recommending any course of care.
Dr. H.S. Maan graduated in 2011 and has built a career defined by genuine compassion and a commitment to continuous learning. His professional experience spans practices in Calgary, Kamloops, Surrey, and the Seattle area, giving him a broad clinical background and exposure to a wide variety of cases and patient populations. Dr. Maan co-owns Peach City Animal Hospital because he believes that privately owned, community-rooted veterinary care produces better outcomes for both pets and the people who love them. He is known for his calm, gentle approach with anxious patients and for the time he takes to ensure every client leaves with a clear understanding of their pet’s health.
We do not believe in one-size-fits-all veterinary medicine. Every pet that walks through our door has a unique history, a unique temperament, and a unique set of needs. We take the time to learn what those are. Our wellness protocols are personalized based on your pet’s age, species, lifestyle, and risk factors. Our surgical and medical recommendations are grounded in current evidence and honest communication about what the options are, what each involves, and what to expect. We welcome questions, we explain our reasoning, and we never pressure you into a decision. Our goal is to be a trusted partner in your pet’s health across their entire life.
We built Peach City Animal Hospital around the reality of pet ownership, which does not follow a nine-to-five schedule. Our clinic is open Monday through Saturday from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM and on Sundays from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Same-day appointments are available for urgent concerns, and our team does its best to accommodate calls promptly. For emergencies after our hours, we maintain clear after-hours referral information for 24-hour facilities in the region so you always know where to turn.
We warmly welcome new clients and their pets from Penticton and across the Okanagan. Your first visit is an opportunity for us to get to know your pet, review their history, and build a care plan tailored to where they are in life. We recommend bringing any prior veterinary records, a fresh stool sample for puppies and kittens, and a list of any questions you have been wanting to ask. Our team takes the time needed at every appointment. You will not feel rushed.
Yes. Peach City Animal Hospital is privately owned and operated by Dr. P.S. Brar and Dr. H.S. Maan. We are not affiliated with any corporate veterinary group. Being independently owned means every clinical and operational decision is made locally, by the veterinarians who see your pet and know your family. We believe that model produces better, more personal care.
From the sprawling fields of Punjab to the sun-kissed vineyards of Penticton, Dr. Brar’s journey is one of passion, perseverance, and an unshakable love for animals. Born into a farming family, he grew up with dirt on his boots and a deep connection to all creatures—big and small. His childhood fascination with majestic white horses and loyal dogs wasn’t just a passing phase—it was the calling that shaped his destiny.
While many dream of becoming doctors, Dr. Brar chose a different path—one where his patients wagged tails, whinnied greetings, and purred their gratitude. Veterinary medicine wasn’t just a career; it was his true purpose.

For 11 years in Punjab, Dr. Brar immersed himself in mixed animal practice, treating everything from hardworking farm animals to beloved pets—always with a soft spot for horses and dogs. But adventure called, and in 2018, he embarked on a new chapter, trading Punjab’s golden fields for Canada’s vast landscapes.
Determined to continue his life’s work, he rolled up his sleeves—working with poultry farms, assisting as a vet tech, and studying tirelessly to earn his Canadian veterinary license. His dedication led him to Glenn Mountain Animal Hospital in Abbotsford and Atlas Animal Hospital & Emergency in Vancouver, where he honed his skills further.
But fate had one more surprise in store: Penticton. Nestled between lakes and mountains, this charming town was everything he’d ever hoped for—a tight-knit community where he could build his dream practice. And so, Peach City Animal Hospital was born.
Dr. Brar brings specialized expertise in soft tissue surgeries and dentistry, ensuring your pets receive the highest standard of care. A lifelong learner, he stays at the forefront of veterinary advancements, blending cutting-edge medicine with old-fashioned compassion.
When he’s not in scrubs, you’ll find him cherishing moments with his family—whether cheering on his 14-year-old son’s latest adventures or cuddling his 8-month-old daughter, who’s already stealing hearts.
